Vervaet’s Beet Eater 617 is the most economical machine on the market ,guaranteed. The concept is tested and improved for years, with great attention for all details. The machine is still simpler than its competitors, while even the highest demands for comfort and capacity are fulfilled. The tank capacity of 17 tonnes is sufficient for most conditions, and fits well with the size of tipping trailers that are most often sold. The four-wheel steering provides good agility. We dare to claim that this machine has a lower cost price per hectare than any other brand or type of tank harvester available.
Vervaet is widely known for its simple but technically advanced construction. We do not run too much at the forefront of developments, but take the best of several parties in order to make an excellent machine. Vervaet uses the principle "everything that’s mounted can break down” without compromising the high standards that the market places.
The Beet Eater 617 is in fact the successor of thte since 1994 produced 17-T machine. The 17-T machine was a further development on the 12-T machine (since the 80's on the market). This makes a long development on the same machine. Not always a new model or principle, but still improve the current model. This results in an almost perfect machine without teething problems, etc.
The economic sustainability of the Beet Eater 617 is reflected in the low maintenance costs and more than above average resale value.
The Combi 2 topper of is something special right away and you will not find any other harvester with this type of topper.
There are two ways to defoliate: Integral - the auger outlet is closed, and the beet leaf will get pulverized., With the help of V-shaped caps inside of the topper, the leaf is put on rows between the beet. Doing so, the leaf is evenly spread over the entire area. Tractors with trailers alongside of the machine will not get covered with leaf rests. If the integral function is selected, the speed of the flailshaft goes up automatically a chosen percentage. This percentage can be set in the computer. Conventional with auger and leaf spreader – the auger pushes the leaves to the right side onto a fast spinning spreader. This large "rotating disc" ensures perfect spreading of leaves over the field over a with of up to 6 meter. The leaf spreaders’ speed is adjustable, and it can be folded up from the cab.
With the integral topper the leaves are evenly distributed over the entire area. Because it is pulverized, it will be absorbed by the soil much faster
Alongside running tractors are not covered with beet leaf. Furthermore, the topper is light weight, has a compact size, and is cheaper to purchase and maintain.
Since many years, the harvesting unit comes with independent occelating shears. They have the unique point that they each shear individually make a circular motion in the ground. So,always one of the two shears making a lifting movement, which will gently wiggle the beet out of the ground. At 700 rpm, it means 23 lifting movements per second. The speed of the shears ,again , can be set from the cab. Each element follows its row, so the beets are always in the centre of the lifter. Through the years ,the unit has been perfected to such extend, that it absolutely requires less maintenance than any other shear systemon the market.
The occilating shears can harvest the beet shallower, without breaking the roots. Furthermore, it’s as good as impossible to block with stones, or cause problems with weeds.
Take a seat in the luxury cab. You will immediately notice the space and especially the overview on the machine. With your back against the chair, you have a perfect view on the lifter and topper, while, if you look behind, the visibility on the Harvested beets in the tank is optimal. Also the discharge elevator is well visible.
Looking at the dashboard, which is integrated in the armrest, you’ll find everything on the right place. Common functions are on the multifunction control lever, or are at your fingertips. The armrest itself is adjustable in height and length.
